NEW INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS

We regret to announce that we no longer accept orders from new customers outside the USA, Canada, and US Possessions (Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Guam).

For this reason, in October of 2009, Paul C Buff Inc established a partnership with 1st Line Digital Pty Ltd as an authorized dealer, operating as Paul C Buff Australia. They are primarily focused on service to Australia, New Zealand and the surrounding Pacific, however inquiries regarding delivery to other countries may be sent to them for consideration.

As a USA manufacturer that deals only direct-to-customer, our company is simply not equipped to navigate through the maze of International regulations, taxes, duties, documentation, monetary exchange, and payment obstacles associated with global direct sales. Our primary concern is to continue to provide the highest level of customer service in the industry, and we feel this change will greatly facilitate this goal.

Efforts to establish additional partnerships outside the US are currently being explored, and we will update our site regularly as information about these relationships develops. We genuinely wish to make our products available to the world, so we remain diligent in seeking customer-friendly methods of offering service outside the USA.

INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY INFORMATION

All factory warranties will be upheld for international orders placed through us, but shipping of any products to and from our offices for any type of repair (warranty or non-warranty), will be the obligation of the customer.

INTERNATIONAL POWERING

For powering AlienBees™ or White Lightning™ flash units on 240VAC in the studio we recommend the use of inexpensive 2 way (120V to 240V or 240V to 120V) true magnetic transformers.

When powered by transformers, your light units will be fully functional, including modeling lamps. When operated at 50HZ, recycle times will be about 15% longer than the stated recycle rates for operation from 120VAC 60HZ power lines.

To operate a single AB or WL light unit, we recommend a minimum 300 Watt transformer. If you are using AB1600 or WLX1600 or 3200, a 500 Watt transformer will allow faster shooting rates without danger of blowing fuses in the transformer.

To operate three or four light units, we recommend a minimum 750 Watt transformer. If you are using higher power light units (AB1600 or WLX1600/3200), or shooting heavily, a 1000 Watt to 1500 Watt transformer will give you more freedom from blowing fuses.

Fuses are easily replaced in these transformers in the event you overload them by rapid shooting rates.
